Getting started couldn’t be more simple. Reach out through our contact form or email us at trips@bestballtravel.com —we’ll walk you through the next steps and answer any questions along the way.

We are truly custom - at the baseline, we’ll book tee times for you, and almost always include lodging as well.
From there, it’s really up to you how much more we can add - from transportation to dining to off the course - we can even book your airfare if you’d prefer. You tell us how much you need from us.

We are not a big monolithic business. We are just two guys, obsessed with golf and traveling to world class courses. We want you to have the same experience.
Some tour operators want to steer you towards certain courses or hotels - maybe because they’ve bought tee times in advance, or maybe simply because they want to curry favor with that course or hotel. That’s not us. The only opinion we care about is yours. We want you to be completely satisfied - that’s why we require you to fully sign off on your itinerary before we start moving forward.

Absolutely! Yes, you can take trips like this on the high end of things, but you can also do it quite affordably. We can book you tee times at fantastic courses, rooms at great lodging in many places around the country and in Scotland, Ireland, etc. While we can’t convince Pebble Beach or Kingsbarns to charge you less, we can find you some other great courses we think are really great options, in all corners of the globe. Affordable golf isn’t only about Myrtle Beach, Orlando and Phoenix in midsummer - though, those trips can be really fun (and we still take them ourselves)! There are plenty of ways to take great trips without breaking the bank - let us help show you the way.

Whether the term is a captain, a leader or an organizer - even if Best Ball Travel is doing the actual tour booking, every group need a single point of contact for us to work with. That’s the captain (or, frankly, whatever title suits your fancy.) The captain is USUALLY the person who is the most interested in putting the trip together (meaning, it’s probably you), and it can be a bit of a thankless job, we know. Don’t worry, you’re going to get a lot of credit for the work WE do, we’ll be sure of tat.

If you are a fan of golf (and we are guessing you are, since you’re reading this), you may remember seeing photos of travel golf bags piled up in Edinburgh Airport around The Open a few years ago, scuttling travelers plans to play some dream golf after watching the tournament in person. Now, many of those logistical issues seem to have been solved, but that sent shivers down golf travelers spines worldwide for a long time.
The lasting question is - what’s the best way to ensure your clubs make it with you to your golf destination?
Of course, there’s never a guarantee - unless you put your clubs into your own plane and fly them to your destination yourself! But, here are some tips that will greatly reduce the risk of you showing up to the first tee with your clubs:
Fly direct whenever possible
If you must connect, give yourself plenty of time (2-3 hours) between connections. We know it feels wasteful, but those hours disappear FAST, trust us. It’s bad enough to be sprinting through an airport to make a connecting flight, it’s worse knowing your clubs are unlikely to make that connection with you. (And yes, we speak from experience.)
Plan as if your clubs will NOT arrive. That means traveling with a pair of golf shoes, golf balls, a golf outfit, etc. You might have to rent clubs, but at least you won’t be buying everything else.
Should you use a service like ShipSticks? It’s a very personal choice. They can be quite pricey - but if you a) are traveling with many connections and b) don’t mind not having your clubs for more than a week before you leave, it can be a very good option.
Finally, be sure to put an AirTag or a similar device in your golf bag. You will know where your clubs are - or at least, were recently - and that peace of mind is worth a lot. And make sure the battery in that AirTag is fresh!

Every trip is different, but whatever we book, you’ll be paying us directly for. We will pay the vendor(s), usually far in advance of when you show up to the hotel, golf course, etc. When you show up, in most cases all you’ll have to do is provide your name and you’ll be greeted with a smile and a welcome.
